It's pretty impressive.
If that tone is your bag, give one a try.

It nails Hendrix tones.

I remember someone saying that it gave a great Trower sound. It was on the FDP. But I have to say that it would do his style well. He always used some sort of phasing with his rhythm. If you are not doing that style then I think, since you are using that effect, you will instantly recognize the type of sound that I am talking about.

On the box it says it's basically a copy of the same circuit found in a circa 1969 Univibe.

Very interesting.
I love their Analog Chorus, but was disappointed and subsequently flipped the Micro Vibe I picked up used as I found it really thin compared to the chorus.
Perhaps I got a dud and need to give it a second try.

Just checked eBay, and there are a couple of used ones going for about £160 here. I could’ve sworn they were about £60 new a few years ago, when I was looking at them.

I had their Tremolo a couple of decades ago. It sounded dark and compressed so I sold it. I'm thinking I had a bad unit because others have raved about theirs.

I had one years ago. I felt that it did great for Trower and Floyd tones, but not deep/swirly enough for Machine Gun. It ended up getting tossed for a Fulltone Deja-Vibe, and it felt like a step up, but still not there.
Oddly enough, the vibe effect inside my Boss Katana amp does it for me.......go figure.

They make the same claim that its the same circut as a Univibe. I dont think you can nail the woodstock or any other Hendrix tone without 1969 Marshall Super leads and the same other pedals and guitar. Plus the sound we hear is recorded and surly remixed in a studio not a true live sound

I agree! I have an early version; without the LED. I’ve owned it for many years. It’s one of my “sacred tone pedals”, destined to stay while others have come and gone.

If I want that ballpark, ironically all it takes is an amp that costs what a pedal does.

It's incredible, IMO. I had a micro vibe years ago, but for some reason it wasn't all that impressive to me. I may not have ever turned the effect up all the way, though, so maybe it was just me.

I haven’t bought a pedal in a long time. Time to rectify that situation. There's always room for a pedal, plus they are much easier to store than a guitar. You're welcome.

If you are not doing that style then I think, since you are using that effect, you will instantly recognize the type of sound that I am talking about. That may have been me. Don't run out and buy an unmodified one though! I got one around 2003 and had it on my board for a few weeks, and although it did nail that Univibe sound, it appreciably dropped the volume when engaged. There was no control to balance the clean (off) and effect (on) volume levels. I called VL and they asked me to send it to them. They did a mod and returned it *within a week* and it was much better, but still not ideal. All it really needed was a balance pot. I ended up taking it off the board after about a year.
