If you love the thing (or the tape unit), get one while you can - Sweetwater is out, and used prices will SKYROCKET very fast.
Remember the Boss FRV-1 reverb tank pricing after discontinuation?
This is going to make this look like peanuts.
As a Space Echo (tape) owner, this is the ONLY unit I've ever played that's even remotely in the ballpark as the pre-amp is correct and that's a huge portion of the sound.

Many famous players love these units.

It's essential to my happiness - I have the OG unit as well, but it saves a LOT of wear and tear on the unit and lets my mods stay in there forever (I adjusted the erase head so it doesn't QUITE erase everything, so it's an eternal collage of fun).

Glad I picked one up. I avoided them for years because I'm not a fan of the FRV-1, asuming/presuming the digital COSM modeling makes it sound digitally harsh. No such problem with the RE-20, can't get enough of it.

Hadn't heard of these til now, how did these fly under my radar?
FYI, Guitar Center still has them new. $286 and they will ship to your local store.

Not sure how you didn't, they've been out for ages!
GC/MF are pretty much the only game in town - guessing they bought up the last.
They marked up the prices recently so chances are...yeah.
They were $229 or so for ages!

I found some mom & pop stores on Reverb that have them.

Yep. I got a used one for old pricing the minute I found out they were discontinued, because well, I wanted a backup and one to move around off my board without disassembly.
For $200 I couldn't say no.
