Also, if you sand the recurve a bit deeper, can you elongate the forehead?

My wife showed me a post on TikTok yesterday with that painting in it. The funny caption was something like, "Was Edvard Munch a great painter or was he terrible at it and trying to paint a portrait of his dog?" Once I saw that comment I can't un-see a dog with long ears in the painting.
