I am always pondering and looking for ways to make my studio work better, easier, and more efficiently. It's always a bonus when I figure out a way to make something work better, or achieve higher audio quality, without having to buy anything. As a result of that I am often changing the connections around, adding to or subtracting from them in order to accomplish something I am having some sort of issue with.
Today I solved a digital connectivity issue I have been having for the last year. The best part is that I found a way to access every digital connection in my rack, of which there are many, without having to do anything but plug a single cable into the top of it in the patch bay. It can be easily reconfigured to connect any device to another digitally in about 10 seconds.
If I haven't said it lately, I LOVE digital audio.

That pretty cool! I was looking at the Flock XT. Pretty neat they have a completely digital way of patching now with analog connections. I don't need one, though. I love my Redco bay. I just do the 40s telephone lady thing.

I just do the 40s telephone lady thing. That's what I ended up doing too. I just had to use 75ohm cables for the interconnects. It did involve using some 1/4" to RCA adapters. Just when I get it all wired up, I'll be getting a different interface next week and I'll have to dive back into the rear of the rack to get it all wired up again.

Hello Aaron. Good to have you back. This forum needs more active users. I'm a pro audio nerd and not ashamed to admit it. It's about the only thing I do as much as I play guitar.

Yea, just been so busy these days and I sort of fell off after the changeover. Been recording and mixing, making pickups and trying to play despite the physical issues. It's the way I need to live!
Love the studio stuff. Can't get enough. Always expanding!
