My keyboard player has an old Hammond XK2 and has been running it through an old 2nd generation JBL Eon I have and w any kind of volume it sounds like the 15" woofer is about to blow when low notes are played. I believe the speaker is only rated @ 150 watts. Can you recommend decent reasonably priced speakers for an organ that have enough power. thanks

Any kind of full range keyboard amplifier should do the job. There are many different makes and models. Search Sweetwater for info.

Thanks nin, I thought you'd be checking in but I should've mentioned that I'm using my current setup, Mackie fx12 head w the Eon as a PA as well as the organ. No room in the van for that and a stand alone keyboard amp.

The Eons are nice speakers but if only rated at 150 watts, that's pretty low. Another option is to roll the bottom end EQ off of the organ channel. Just adding a subwoofer might work for you. Again, check with Sweetwater for speakers. Their sales engineers have always been extremely helpful to me when I had gear questions.

I can’t help with speaker recommendations.
But when you get around to monkey shopping… I’m standing by. 🐒

Keyboards generally sound good through PA speakers so any decent powered 15" cabinet will do the job. I'd want the 15" rather than a 12" for bigger bottom end. Maybe even consider a small EQ to really fine tune the sound. If you add a second speaker the Leslie sim in that keyboard give you a nice separation with a little tweaking of the mic distances and angles built in to the sim. I had an XK2 and a couple of the presets were pretty nice.

I purchased the Bose L1 Model 2 with B2 Bass, T8S for my last acoustic project (two singers, two guitars, acoustic bass). It was perfect for us. When I left that group, I kept the Bose system and I'm glad I did because I decided to learn to play keys/piano and it turns out to be perfect for my Roland Juno DS7. It can handle those deep cathedral organ sounds without any problem. Grand piano sounds grand and realistic from top to bottom. Bose has since discontinued my system so, even though it's still going to be a bit pricy, its not going be in stratosphere. Hope this is helpful and sorry for my very late response.
