I'm thinking that for my birthday (Jan 2) I might be getting a Gibson Les Paul studio Plus. Hope so!

No, it went from the Fedex truck today right to the music room. (Bugera Attenuator)

I've got a golf club shaped present under the tree, but I did treat myself to an HH Tele style guitar. I wanted something more ergonomic than my Les Paul when I want that humbucker punch. I've built three vintage Fender style guitars in a row and am on a hard rock kick at the moment. Enter this guy. It's a pretty nice guitar that needed a little attention and a setup, but it does rock very well! I really didn't need this but going through a rough patch in life, so this helps take my mind off of things a little bit. harleybenton.com/product/fusion-t-hh-roasted-ssp/#

I was asked what I wanted/needed for Christmas, the only thing I could think of was a cheapo gig bag to fit my Fender Jazz bass. Unfortunately I don't see a gig bag shaped box under the tree. I probably just got socks like every other year.

I got myself a RME recording interface for my computer a week or so ago. Does that qualify?

I got myself a second Boss RE-20 Space Echo when I found out they were discontinued before the prices surged - it ate my "Yule present to myself" budget and then some, but ...was mission critical.

Well… it wasn’t a gear-shaped present. I got a StewMac Ukulele kit.

Both of my Tribs are P90 guitars - one LP and one SG. Love’ em as they are.

That Goldtop up there is lovely. I still wish I had gone for a new R7 when they could be had for $1750. I'm priced out now - can't justify it. Here's the guitar I posted about up in this thread. I was thinking of refinishing the top in matte white or black, but the sparkle is growing on me. It arrived in 3 days from Germany to SoCal - not bad. I'm happy that it's under 8 pounds. The pickups are great for what I want them to do and the split coil neck pickup tone is a surprising bonus. The split bridge not so much. Quality is like all the other Indonesian stuff like G&L Tributes and Squier Classic Vibes. The bridge pickup does need to be re-mounted a little toward the right. I expected the "modern C" neck to be thin, but it's fatter than the current typical Fender C shape. The flame roasted maple feels pretty luxurious to hold. I also polished the stainless frets as they were a bit scratchy.

That’s a great looking guitar, Justin.
If the bridge pickup sounds ok I wouldn’t worry about relocating the bridge.

This is an impressive guitar, especially for the price. There were some rough spots in the matte neck finish that a little 1500 grit solved easily. If you're willing to put in a little work, these things are great!

Nice indeed!
Interesting that a flat-top, non-bound special goes for the same money.

Nice indeed! Interesting that a flat-top, non-bound special goes for the same money. Even more so when you look at the prices for LP Juniors. For the simplest guitar you could make.
