Yep, that's Saint Patrick's Day fare. Along with a Guinness or 3.

Just finished off the night with a corned beef sandwich. Fill the stove, bring in morning logs, and wait until the fire is self sustaining, ....a bit of a drag, sometimes it takes up to two beers before it's self sustaining. Somehow, I persevere. cheers

A local Irish pub/restaurant has it as a Thursday night special. It's excellent. We usually go on Thursdays 3/4 times a year just for that special. (Come to think of it, we're due for our winter "fix".)
I have tried making it at home and it just doesn't come out the same....

I find cooking all 3 separately makes a big difference.

Yes, definitely a St. Patrick's Day tradition, but I prefer it with Smithwick's. It's on the menu at a local pub and I have it occasionally at other times. My wife sometimes makes Colcannon as a side dish at home.

I've tried many different eating styles over the past years looking for what will be best for my health. Turns out a pretty typical meat & potatoes diet is what makes me feel the best. Go figure.
I should go get some corned beef.

Never had it but it looks like it would be great with a Guinness or 3.
Did you know the Irish government recommends every adult to drink 3 Guinness a day?
Edited...I googled the 3 a day thing and couldn't find a reference. Anyway...

Good as anything I guess since I can't taste a damn thing. I may as well just eat spam for now.

I get a supermarket corned beef, trim most of the fat, season it proper, smoke it and make Pastrami!
I do get the traditional CB&C during St Pats week but I dont make it as the wife is not a fan. Pastrami Ruben... oooh yes shes's a fan We do std Ruben as well as bangers and mash
Guinness, Murphy's Smithwicks (its pronounced Smid-icks ya know) or harp all fine beverage choices For dessert a nice glass of Irish. Middleton or their second tier Red Breast....
now ya all got me Jonesing for Mid March!

Anyone else here partake? Yep -- a couple times a year. I usually braise a flat and a point -- we have the trad corned beef dinner and then later in the week I make grilled Reubens with the leftovers. But yeah -- I like me some "Smiddicks".
