I'm pretty much done with this -- but did purchase a Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb late last year.

It looks the American Professional II saw the biggest increase.
I don't like it, but they don't need my money to survive.
I was considering one, but I am less motivated now.

It's called inflation.

Just a few months ago, a Blues Junior was $599, with the Limited Editions going for $649. That's too much IMO, but it is what it is. Then Fender increased prices, with the regular BJr priced at $649 and the LE at $699. Now, that same regular BJr is up to $749 with the LE at $799. That's crazy! That's a 25% increase in just a matter of weeks!

Have you guys noticed the price of… well… everything else lately?

Not to worry! Along with these wonderful price increases, comes an increase in your monopoly money...... Some of the 'choices' people make in certain situations make for increases like this...so, people must like it 'cause they keep on doing it. I think the Les Paul I bought back in the beginning of November had a equally large increase in price not long after as well. Isn't equity grand!?! Blues Jr's at 800 bucks. Got another one of those a year or so ago to go along with the one I bought back in '02 for 280 bucks brand new. Money worth nothing and the chicks ain't free...as if they ever were.

Fwiw I noticed that Sweetwater has a bunch of Fenders with the new pricing but bonus bucks available that makes the instrument slightly less expensive than the 2021 price.

Have you guys noticed the price of… well… everything else lately? Yes. I could be wrong, but I thought Fender has had about 3 price increases in the last year or so. I am not saying there can`t be a reason, but I will say this is mildly discouraging for me with regards to buying their products. No, they do not need my money. I have little doubt they will continue to sell just fine. If anything, suckers like me will stay interested (I am impressed at some of the color options they have on the American Pro II series at the moment). (I will add this: As far as American made instruments go, with the options available on the American made basses it is probably G&L for me at this point.)

I don’t buy inflation as the reason. Fender was consistently raising prices by $50 every 6-12 months before the current state of affairs. It’s just greed on their part. Lots of brands have NOT went up in price. I’ve recently just got back into playing. Maybe 3 years ago I was looking at standard/player teles, whatever Fender was calling them then. They were $599. Now they are $850. Give me a break. They’ve been building that same guitar for 75 years. The $599 was pushing it. I ordered one 12/31/21 at $799. I’m sending it back, nice enough guitar but I don’t see where it’s an $800 guitar. They will be $1000 by next January. I’ll go G&L, build or just about any other brand. Too many nicer options at better prices these days. I wanted a $1500 Am Pro II, but couldn’t justify the money and that was a nice guitar. I sure can’t justify $800 for this one, I’d like someone at Fender try to explain it, but it’s NOT inflation.

There are great alternatives.
Fender can raise prices because they’re selling they’re name. I don’t discount inflation, but companies like Fender trade on their name.

I don’t own a Fender. But I have some great guitars that get that sound.
I will pay good money for a Gibson though. That’s my druthers.

I have a friend who had a pretty decent Ibanez collection. Jems, RGs. Probably 10 guitars at one point. Then he sold them all a few summers ago. Not one for less than $1K. He bought 3 used Les Pauls. His are all very nice and feel good. Much better than any Gibson I’ve found hanging in a shop. I’m sure it’s just me and a lack of experience, but I don’t see where the extra money goes after about $500-$700 other than more attention to the neck, which the lower end Fenders aren’t getting. Not arguing with you, just sharing my experience.

Not surprising given current management - a case of massive demand given pandemic players with nothing to do but buy gear and putting the Disney Store guy in charge.
He doesn't seem to get it, which is why I've been buying Gibsons his whole tenure.

the price rises will just increase the price of the used guitars market, good if you're going to offload some gear

Used gear is already sky-high because of COVID flips and more purchasers - and FUBAR'd supply chain meaning new stuff isn't as available!

the price rises will just increase the price of the used guitars market, good if you're going to offload some gear I understand that also, but I also won’t pay more for used Fender when there are other new guitars that are nicer for less money. I get that as long as people will pay it, they can charge it, but I’m not those people. I’m sure Fender will do fine without my money.

I've got more than I need now. Every once in awhile I see something that's tempting just because it looks nice, but I don't even play all the guitars I have now.
With demand and prices going up, might be a good time to sell.....
