Here’s hoping we have power throughout.
I’m not optimistic.

Here in Tennessee we're having sleet right now. It snowed about an inch early this morning and now it has turned to slush. It's supposed to return to snow in a couple hours and continue until mid afternoon. It's going to be an icy mess tomorrow on the roads. Hopefully there will be no power outages. We have full pantry, a gas fireplace, and a full propane tank so we're prepared. We don't have anywhere we need to go.

My snowmageddon was yesterday. Probably 2.5" or so.
Driveway is shoveled. I think it is over and we are alright.

Here in the Carolinas we got about a quarter inch. OMG! Puppy (11 month GSD) was pretty excited. We are stocked and have a woodstove with el buncho lotto wood. No place to go till Tuesday therapy. I should cruise in the jeep just because BUT, and it's a big but...some tool would hit me. Oh well, just put another log on the fire and a fresh cuppa. Life is good. Be safe.

i think my corner of KY has dodged that bullet. we were in the 4" to 8" zone but something changed this morning and instead of snow we had rain, then a period of sleet, then it snowed like crazy for a while and we got an inch on the grass but the pavement was warm enough to melt what had fallen. it had actually stopped around 4 pm. i took the pup out while ago and it's snowing pretty hard and we have about a half inch on the pavement now. if it continues at this rate, we may have an inch or two by morning.
i'll be more than satisfied with that amount... i wasn't looking forward to the 8" much.

We got about 2" of light fluffy snow here near Annapolis. It's supposed sleet for a bit, turn to ice, and then rapidly melt tomorrrow as temps will be in the 40s.
A non-event.
But people still swarmed the local markets and swept the shelves clean of milk, eggs, bread, and toilet paper. It's strange. I think when there's a threat of inclement weather, many folks like to eat French toast and then poo a whole bunch.
Simple logic--right?

Ahh yes the storm driven panic shopping. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

You’ve got to stock up bread and milk for milk sammiches. It looks like we ended up with 4” and a crust of sleet over that. We’re only seeing mid 30s today so I doubt we will see much of this melt. The wind gust have been pretty substantial.

We got about 6" and a customer called this morning to reschedule a meeting. I'm working remote today.

We got about a foot and a half up here in southeastern MA. Well technically, it was only a bit over 1" of rain -- but it would have been a mess if it were about twenty degrees colder.
And with the 60-70 mph wind gusts, it would have been a blizzard.
And because there's a shortage of plow drivers up here we could have been stranded for weeks.
And because all the grocery store shelves are empty I could not have stocked up on bread, milk, and beer.
We could have died.
Luckily, we don't watch the news much anymore -- so we survived.
Maybe I can parlee this into a reality TV deal.

Here in Iowa they have road clearing down to a science. Unless we're getting over a foot and it's coming down hard and fast, there's not much impact for us, but people still stock up at the store.
We got 8" last Friday and two of my kids had little/no trouble getting home from work in a fiesta and a focus.
