Another Tesla operating in Death Star mode has killed a couple more folks. The car sailed through a red light after exiting a freeway here in California. I'm beginning to think that people who use the autopilot mode in their Musk-mobiles, imagine the self driving mode as being like autopilot on airplanes, which rarely have to deal with pedestrians or nerds on Segways. Until today, I didn't realize that a sweetheart deal with California's DMV (test permit system) frees Tesla from making those annoying notifications whenever a Tesla Terminator Circuit goes awry, resulting in a fatality. By the way, don't try contacting Tesla's media relations department for comment. After fielding too many pesky questions after each crash, the unit has been disbanded. You don't even get elevator music. No news is good news, right? www.npr.org/2022/01/18/1073857310/tesla-autopilot-crash-charges

Shakes head.
That's amazing and I always thought that CA was consumer friendly. I don't know how many "...may cause cancer..." stickers I've seen.

Just when you think you have seen it all, in Los Angeles yesterday a nice young man stole a motorcycle and proceeded to rip the streets of LA at the rate of 130 mph. Did a couple to stand ups on the bike and the pole leeeze decided to back off the chase with just an airship overhead to monitor his progress. All was going fine for this gentleman until he was running along a city street at Mach 2 and a couple of little old ladies made a left turn into his lain. At that point all bets were off as the fellow sailed through the air about 200 feet to sudden death experience down the boulevard. Oppps. Well at least he was wearing a crash helmet.

Elon's just thinning the herd. Too bad most of us won't be around in a hundred years to participate in the debate on whether or not this was a good idea. Or will we??
