Got a 5 string Ibanez from MF last year. Took to a shop for a set up and they had it for months. Got it back and the action was miserable and one of the tuners did not work. Took it to another shop last October, and finally got it back a couple weeks ago. Action is good, tuners work, spikes are all good. Happy camper. Been 30 years in I played banjo.

That is an unreasonable amount of time, you could learn how build a banjo in that amount of time.
Poor banjo guys, but that was funny, jefe.

Congrats! I haven't owned or played a 5 string banjo in over 20 but I still own and play a plectrum banjo and 6 string banjo.
My plectrum is a Fender Robert Schmidt signature model and is the heaviest banjo I ever have played at nearly 14 lbs.
