Egg-zaklee! Anything with nickel, chromium, cobalt, and other heavy metals will greatly increase in cost. Neodymium mags will also dramatically increase in cost too, I suspect.

I think this graph pretty much represents everything and anything. Cost of fertilizer is about to triple which will be passed on to the farmers and then to us.
That said I put in another order to Musicians Friend through their Ebay auction for a buy 10 get 12 EB Slinkys for $40. 😄

I'm stocked up on guitar strings already. I ordered a set of flat wound bass strings yesterday from Sweetwater and they were $44. Ouch. Glad I don't have to do that very often.

They're still inexpensive on Amazon.

Welcome to what happens when debt passes GDP and the ratio increases by 50% in a year!

I’ve just bought 3 sets of Super Slinkys on Amazon for £15. I probably should’ve bought 30.

Hmmm, I should check to see if I have any spare tubes. Only 3 countries make quantities of vacuum tubes- Russia, Slovakia, and China. Possible supply problems may emerge.

Only two countries now make guitar amp tubes. Russia and Slovakia. China hasn't made any in about three years. "Possible supply problems?" Here. Will get worse soon. (See my recent post in the amp section.) I sell guitar gear at the largest music store in my state. We are almost out of tubes. Most big tube vendors are running out. I ordered from a vendor eleven days ago. The same tubes are up in price today by about 30%. I bought one of our last 12AX7s at the store today. That leaves 4. Plus we have two pairs of EL34s and one pair of 6L6s. Tube up if you can. Immediately if you can.

EH president Mike Matthews just announced today that no more tubes are coming. At least until next calendar year...if that. So, no more EH, Tung-Sol, Sovtek, Gold Lion, Genalex, etc.

Yea, they're going to be in short supply for quite a while, I suspect.
The JJ market is much smaller (and personally, I don't like the way they sound in my amps).
Very glad I have backups right now (and bagged a couple Mullard and Tung Sol AX7s to hold me over just in case)

I've gotten along with JJ EL84s but not their 6V6s. I have a pair of Tung Dol reissues in my PRII that are probably 10 years old now with low mileage. Looking online it appears 6v6s are already looking a little thin. I should probably just off all of my amps anyway. The guitars too, but maybe I'll keep 'em for firewood.

Bought 3 sets for acoustic and 3 for the electrics. Reasonable price, free shipping. Hope spare tubes will get me thru.
