I found a slightly used IR-200 and bought it about a week ago. It will replace the Strymon Iridium on my pedalboard, not because it sounds better, but because it's much more flexible, and most importantly to me, it has an FX Loop. Plus, way more features. The factory presets are all over the place, some are great, some are too high gain for my taste, as usual with Boss products. But backing off the gain makes many of them useable, with just a little tweaking. I haven't tried them all, I tend to just find something I like and then tweak to my taste. There are 8 guitar amps and 3 bass amps in the pedal, 128 user presets, and "over 150 hi-res cab impulse responses from Boss and Celestion" included. Three different reverbs that sound great, with adjustments for each of course. Very easy to make adjustments, also. The EQ's really do a lot, much more than on the Iridium, although I believe they are closer to the real amps on the latter. Some might complain that it doesn't have XLR outs, but neither does the Iridium. I'm posting this mainly for those who might be interested, but haven't heard of it yet. Same price as the Iridium, btw. There are all kinds of videos and comparisons on Youtube, of course. IR-200 info and specs

I haven’t played either, but have heard from a few folks that the Iridium sounds better, but the IR is much more versatile. Again, that’s just what I heard.
I’m a big Boss fan myself and with few exceptions, most of my pedalboards over the span of my gigging career were made up of mostly Boss pedals.
I really scaled down my board the last couple of years I played out.
Boss TU-2 > Boss DS-1 (Keely SEM mod) > EWS Fuzzydrive > Boss DD-3 (my favorite digital delay of all time) > Danelectro Danecho.

Ya can't go wrong with Boss. I'm still lovin' my Katana 50 for a practice amp.
I've not heard of the IR-200 but it looks cool!

I really scaled down my board the last couple of years I played out. Boss TU-2 > Boss DS-1 (Keely SEM mod) > EWS Fuzzydrive > Boss DD-3 (my favorite digital delay of all time) > Danelectro Danecho. Mine is scaled down also! HX Effects, an expression pedal, and now the Boss IR-200. I just put them all on a 12 x 24 Pedaltrain Classic and it looks great. Plus a small box for picks, IEM's etc. Leftymeister, this pedal hasn't been out all that long, but there are already a lot of videos if you want to check it out. Great for playing in churches that no longer allow real amps.
