Fender hypes them up pretty good. I use them on my G&L. Usually ball ends on my PRS. So I had to put one on my PRS and it obviously does not flush up. I may just go back to ball ends for both. Do you think there is any real advantage?

Solution seeking a problem.
I think there was a period of time when the trem blocks in Fenders were wonky enough that the bullets helped. We're long past that.
If someone has better luck with the bullets than a regular ball end on their guitar... more power to 'em. I've never strung up a guitar and found the ball ends to be inadequate.

I’ve used them for years on my Strats. Mostly so they don’t get stuck in the trem block. Seems to work as designed. Since they’re the same price as ball end strings and sound just as good , why not.

Yea, I've had the "pop off when tuned" bullet packs before.
I stopped buying them for the reasons above - solution in search of a problem that creates its own.

I just installed a set of bullets in my Deluxe Players Strat. Haven't used them in years but I am enjoying them. I have been using DeAddario NYXLs for a long time. Nickel Bullets are a more traditional sound......I think.

Bullet-end strings are cheaper to manufacture. That's why Fender marketed them. Not because balls get jammed in vibrato blocks.

Joke is I've had to put the old string down the hole to get out both bullets *and* regular strings in my day - neither is difficult to "fix"

Fun tip: can't put Bullet strings in a Kahler Flyer.
Found that out at a gig when all I had were...Bullets in the spare case.

I just installed a set of bullets in my Deluxe Players Strat. Haven't used them in years but I am enjoying them. I have been using DeAddario NYXLs for a long time. Nickel Bullets are a more traditional sound......I think. I love Fender strings, too. Their pure nickel warp (original 150s) are my favorite if you exclude the super premium stuff out there.
Fender was super vague for a long time. I remember reading their Frontline magazine in the 90s, and it wasn't at all clear that the only difference with "bullets" was the anchoring end of the string. So, Original 150s and Original Bullets are the same string, and Super Bullets and Super 250s are the same. They always talked about them like it was a unique formulation, and a lot of players out there seek out the bullets because they think the string itself is different. I'm not sure if that is where Ragpicker is coming from or not, but it is a very common thing.
If I had a set of bullets I'd use them, and if they were cheaper for some reason I'd be fine buying them. They're just overall pointless.

I loved Fender strings for ages, and then they discontinued the stainless variety after almost 30 years of using them.
I was NOT pleased.

I've had ball end string stick regularly in the block of my MIJ 62RI, with both the stock Japanese bridge and a Fender US replacement milled steel block. The bullets definitely helped avoid that problem. BUT I didn't like the strings that much and eventually they just weren't being stocked by the stores near me so I went back to EB slinkys. A 2 mm hex wrench was part of my stage tool kit at the time because I could jam it in there and punch the strings out of the block when they got stuck. The old strat was retired and I moved to Music Man guitars and I've never had a ball end stick in a block since.

Funky , Im not stuck on anything anymore. I have been on a quest to make my tinnitus ears hear something more pleasing. I just put the bullets ,150s, on to see what if any diffference there is. I was using DAD NYXLs and they are what is advertised as high tech. I cant feel much diifference in the two and my ears are enjoying the Nickel. My hearing changes almost daily.
