I very recently bought a Donner DP-2 power supply unit to use with my pedal board. It comes with a wall wart which outputs 18vdc (checked with my dvm), but I have been running it off of my Ryobi power tool 18v batteries which when fully charged output 20.2 vdc. The unit seems to be running fine, but I am wondering if I am asking for trouble powering it with 20vdc instead of 18vdc? I have looked online to try and find a detailed spec but could not find one. I would appreciate advice/input/educated guesses about whether or not this is probably safe to do. Thanks!

This is probably safe. 1) Most devices will happily deal with +/- 10% or 15% of nominal spec, and 2) batteries often read a little high on multi meter when not in an actual loading circuit but will deliver rated voltage in actual use.
