I'm down with the patio, but I usually take either a scotch whiskey or Kentucky bourbon on the rocks, or a 5 ounce snifter with 2.5 oz of Don Julio 1942 tequila neat (see my avatar).

Those first warm days of spring, hanging with friends and family in the deck, soaking up the sun.

Watching my neighbors drive off to work, while I sit at my breakfast nook, sipping coffee and reading the newspaper.

That first cup of coffee in the morning
Finding the next line and rhyme after being stuck for ages
Seeing the tip of your fishing pole being teased by the trout below
Taking a nap with a dog. Hey man, can I borrow your dog?

Finding the next line and rhyme after being stuck for ages That is indeed satisfying. Here are a few more... - A day in the mountains on the motorcycle
- Working outside on a warm (not hot) day and then enjoying a cold beer
- Completing a guitar project and then plugging it in
- Blasting the stereo during a hard workout

Lately it's been a lot of---"sittin' on the dock of the bay, watching the tide role away"----and I gotta tell ya, that's got a lot going for it in the "good for the soul" dept. I find the company of Pelicans most enjoyable.

I find the company of Pelicans most enjoyable. The last two occasions I had stared out on the gulf was during the thick of the pandemic and another time of some family issues. I somehow found it comforting that none of it mattered beyond those waves.

Baby lambs in the field outside my window. Every March. We had a couple of inches of snow this morning, which took them by surprise, but they seem to be enjoying it now and it's melting fast in the bright sun.

Sitting on our covered patio with music playing from the speakers mounted above us.
Living close enough to have lunch with our daughter once a week, and seeing the grandkids almost every weekend.

A long hike down along the river with the dog. Chilly today, so my boy Luka and I only saw a couple other hikers. Luka's buddy Willie, another Aussie, was there and they got to run together for a while. Saw a mink down along the rocks, first time.
Some days I don't really feel like going, but I do anyway and always feel better when I get home.
Oh, and coffee.
