Not familiar with the artist, but considering people paid for tickets, made travel arrangements and hotel reservations and scheduled time off work, etc., it's a pretty cheeseball act.
But hey, "The Final Four" could be a good country song title.

I don't think I'm familiar with any of his work (edited), but I'm happy to continue considering him a tool. This stunt doesn't change that.

Absolute disrespect to his fans. Some of us have to jump through hoops in order to get the time, money, and availability to pay exorbitant concert ticket prices, and that's how he repays their efforts? Sorry, have to go watch two basketball games?
What a loser.

Totally disrespectful to ticketholders. I won't say fans cause...they might not be fans anymore. Tool, loser. Yeah that's as good as anything I have that the filters would preempt.

I hope there are costs involved for the refunding process that he'll have to eat.
And his team loses.🤣

And his team loses.🤣 If the local promoter has to eat refunding costs, I wonder if other promoters will not take on his show without some sort of clause against that. I don't think they should. That may be the part of this I am the most curious about.

The sad part is his fans have no idea he might have just saved their musical soul(s).

Eric, the show must go on.
He must have never heard that.

Eric, the show must go on. He must have never heard that. Whoever came up with that was obviously not a basketball fan.

It almost seems like he miscalculated the reaction to doing this, as if it would be an endearing "ohh... he's such a fan of his team, isn't that sweet". Doosh.

He probably shouldn't book Mar. concerts. Problem solved.

I have heard the name, not familiar with the music. Now I do not want to be. I hope his bad juju does not rub off on UNC! Go Heels!

I never thought of it quite like this, but this may be the best explanation I have yet heard. It likely would have worked in NC, but not anywhere else.

I don't expect that promoter will be booking him again, and he's likely to get sued for not showing upon. Think Sly Stone early 1970's or late career George Jones.

George became almost as famous for "No Show Jones" as he did for his music. I have to admit, I much preferred the "No Show Jones" nickname over "The Opossum". I'm not sure what that was about and maybe he didn't mind, but I don't think I'd care for being called a Opossum as a nickname.
