It was all the rage for a while, this cloning of pets. Expensive but alluring ... Fluffy the cloned cat, would replace Muffy, who had the bad manners to get flattened while crossing the street. Those who did the actual clanking of test tubes, tended to downplay the fact that the pet being cloned would have a personality all its own, which would not be replicated in the duplicate. That alone would seem enough to put people off. But no. Viagen Pets & Equine in Texas, says that it's cloning more and more pets each year.
You want to clone Muffy ... be prepared to pony up $30,000. Dogs are more: $50,000. And a horse .... faghettabout it.
I guess rich people really do think differently than most of us. Why clone a pet when there are so many desperate, worthy, cats and dogs anxiously pressed up against those cage doors at the animal shelter, just begging for a forever home.
