...due next week 18/19 AMC/Netflix. A little something worth the wait AFAIC.

Yes!! Looking forward to it. Do you think Better Call Saul could have stood on it's own without Breaking Bad?

Looking forward to it. Yes, for me I think it could have worked without Breaking Bad. The characterisations are certainly strong enough to stand on their own, and indeed most bear no relation to said aforementioned show. Jimmy McGill would have engaged my interest immediately.

I some how lost interest and missed the last season. At least I think I missed only one season, these series with their two and a half years off are ridiculous. I may try picking it back up after I get through "Billions". Speaking of every two and a half years, anyone know if "Peaky Blinders" is done or coming out with another of their quinquennial seasons? I know the actress who played Polly passed away and if I recall the story was pretty focused on her.

There is currently a new season of Peaky Blinders being aired. It's up to season 6, episode 6. Another very engaging show.

+2 for the PB 6. And yes, BCS would have been standing regardless, imo. But glad that it didn't need to and watching Saul as spin-off of BB because we can. 🙂

Regarding Peaky Blinders, this series 6 is good, I enjoyed it more than 5. It’s reported be the last series, 7 has been rewritten to be a film, set in WW2. Regarding long delays for new stuff, bear in mind that along with everyone else, the creative industries have taken a pandemic hiatus, and a massive financial hit, so it seems fair that they’ve taken time to regroup.

Saul was my favorite character on Breaking Bad and I’ve been a fan of Better Call Saul from the start. Brilliant writing and execution.
I just got done rewatching seasons 1-5 to refresh myself on some details. It gets funnier every time I see it. Same with Breaking Bad!
