I have never re-amped anything other than a bass guitar which I have done a few times but it was always using plugins in-the-box.
Being what I would consider a very experienced guitarist and recording engineer I can't even imagine a time when I would need to re-amp a guitar track that I had played on. I should be able to nail the sound on the first try. If I were recording someone else playing guitar I could see where it might be a handy thing to have access to at mix-down. Even then, if I were the one doing the tracking session for the guitar, I can't imagine not being able to nail the sound at the time of the performance. I guess that's my training and experience coming through the ranks and learning recording using analog tape with a very limited track count. It needed to be how you wanted it going in because there was no fixing it afterwards. Since track counts are no longer an issue I might start recording a direct guitar signal on a track for re-amping just to see if I would ever use it.
Does, or has, anyone here ever re-amp a track after it has been recorded?

Yep, I have with my Eleven Rack but never bussing out to a real amp. I'll most often record a dry track for a reamping option through the 11-R along with what sounds good to me at the time. Lately I just stick with what I ran with but that's just laziness on my part. The times I have reamped have usually been mild variations because I fear a dramatic departure may sound "untrue" due to the effects used on the performance track steered by approach, if that makes sense.
Its easy enough to track a dry mono signal just in case so I do make it a practice with the Eleven Rack.

I've done it but it's very rare - mostly for sound comparisons that wouldn't be influenced by playing in the moment.
I record everything wet too so it's not particularly conducive to reamping unless I radically change my workflow.
