Focusing on the Blues Jr, this vid explains some differences in a Mexican built and a USA built BJ. However, interesting facts about some of the parts used and why. I have two BJ's, one a '02 black tolex and the other a '20 tweed. The '02 is USA made. They started building BJ's in Mexico in '03. I did a Fromel mod to the '02 a couple of years ago now which I decided to do when I found an exploded cap in the reverb section so, all the caps he talks about are replaced but, of course, the caps in the tweed are stock.
Anyway, you may have seen this vid before as it's not new but, still interesting and maybe something to review again. It's only about 5 minutes...

My understanding is that the latest (>2017?) version of the BJ has had a major design change, in that the output stage EL84s are now cathode biased, rather than the fixed bias previously used. That seems a very beneficial change to me, which suits EL84 very well; the valves bias themselves (independently) to the Goldilocks zone, not too hot, not too cold.

MY friend in CT has a tweed post-2017 and I can vouch that it sounds much better than my 2005 V2 did. I knew it couldn't be just from the tweed cabinet and the speaker.
