He has saved up $421. He wants an electric guitar so my son (his dad) and I will take him to Guitar Center tomorrow. I am suggesting he check out Epiphone LP Special and Epiphone SG Special along with Squire Tele and Squire Strat. To see what feels good to him. He is pretty excited. I have a feeling the SG may end up being the one. We will see.

Awesome!
Try to get him to play it in store. Some kids get shy and uncomfortable.

The SG is cool, it’s the guitar Batman should have, hey I should have one, I’ve always wanted one, loved them as a kid. Oh, I got Telecaster, never mind.
The more I play the Cordoba C9 parlor the less everything else gets played. I’ve gotta pull out the Martin 0015 and the 00015S to see if I really need to keep them around. I should let them go, along with the Kremona classical.

I bet he is. I’ll never forget when I got my first bass, back 64, the amplifier came in 69. The Framus Atlantik was electric with F holes and about a 2 inch hollow body. Loud enough to hear what I was doing. Do you have a small amp to loan him?

My stable? PRS. G&L. No. We gave him an acoustic for Christmas. He really got into it and saved his $ for an electric. I admire his determination and he is pretty proud of the accomplishment. I have offered him the use of my backup but for now he is using his dad's amp.
