The last 2 items I bought on Reverb took an inordinate amount of time for the sellers to ship the items. The first one took 6 days for the guy to actually ship it and the last one shows there was a shipping label made but it hasn't been delivered to the shipper yet and it's been a week since I made the purchase. If anyone on Ebay took that long to ship something the buyers would publicly chastise the sellers and probably give them negative feedback. What gives with these guys on Reverb? Both sellers had 100% positive feedback. They both hit my bank account the day of the sale so they got paid. I'm going to start giving them grief. 3 stars and a mention of the slow shipping. Something needs to turn around. Any time I sell something it gets shipped the following business day after payment clears. THAT'S what 100% positive feedback looks like.

The last thing I ordered on reverb was a potentiometer and I got it 3 days later, with a weekend in between. Glancing at the last 4 or 5 orders I recall getting them pretty fast (shipped either same day or next business day). Most of my orders have been from "preferred sellers", not independent sellers.

Periodically this happens to me. My usual Reverb experience is timely shipping.
I’d send a message if you’re still waiting.
Conversely I like to ship so fast that it makes the buyer’s head spin.

The last time I posted something for sale, Reverb reminded me to go pack it up because I'd have to ship within 3 days after it sold. I don't know if they actually try to enforce this policy, however. Today is day 3 for something I bought last Friday. It has a tracking number but it hasn't actually been dropped off at USPS yet.

Reverb starts the clock at the time of sale and stops the clock when shipping is purchased, whether you use their shipping or your own. If you don’t use their shipping, you have to enter the tracking #. Pre-pandemic the gold standard was within 24 hours. They stretched it to 72 during the pandemic. I believe the standard to get the “fast shipping” badge is still 24 hours.
Weekends will screw up the tracking. I’ve had items sell on a Friday night and the tracking # doesn’t go active until the following Monday - even though I’ve dropped off the item.
At any rate… my buyers get the “your item has been shipped” notification within hours, and often within minutes. If I happen to be with phone in hand when the item is purchased, and I have packed, measured and weighed, they’ll get notification in literally a minute or two.
I also message them to say it’s been dropped off. Or, if it’s a weekend, that I will drop off soon but they likely won’t see movement on the tracking # until Monday.
I know what sort of communication I like when I buy. I aim for that when I sell. 🙂

As for shipping within 3 days of the sale, that didn't even come close on these last 2 items I purchased. One of them took 6 days and the last one hasn't been shipped yet and it was bought Friday a week ago.

Still no reply on my purchase from Reverb. I sent the seller another message yesterday. I wonder if this is another one of those times when there wasn't really anything to sell, just a photo. I had that happen once before a long time ago and had to file a claim on my PayPal account to get the money back. That took weeks but it got resolved.

You can open a case with Reverb. They're very good about this stuff. They'll look at the messages and the lack of response. I've had to do it a time or two and their process has worked well for me.

Still no response from the seller. I sent them one last message and am giving them one more day to respond before I file a case with Reverb. This is ridiculous. I have sent 3 messages over the last week and got nothing but crickets. If/when I get a refund I'm just going to buy a new one from Sweetwater. The deal was too good to be true in the first place. Looks like it was bogus.

You should have success with your Reverb case. Personally I wouldn't wait a day. It takes Reverb a day or so to get rolling. You've done your due diligence.

The seller needs a 1 star review, drag him down as much as possible.
Reverb has some sort of buyer guarantee, doesn't it? You will get a refund, I don't know how long it takes though.

He only has one review and it was the 5 star variety. He probably posted it himself. I'm going to do as much as I can do mess with him. There's no excuse for zero communication unless it's a fraud. It's looking more and more like that every day. He has only sold one item so there's that.

Not to over think it, the bottom line is he posted the item, took the money and hasn't responded. But there is the possibility that something came up that prevented him from responding. I had one transaction from an independent seller that dragged on and he confessed (true or not) that he had been ill. I eventually had him cancel and reimburse me and made sure not to consider him for future purchases.

I got my refund from Reverb yesterday. The email stated, "Lost shipment" as the reason. OK, maybe but, that doesn't excuse the fact that it took the seller nearly a week to purchase a shipping label. I'm not buying it but I'm glad the refund finally came through. I bought another Cloudlifter off Ebay and it's supposed to be delivered today.
