Specifically their cabs/speakers.
I have zero experience, but I’ve always wondered.

I've always shied away from them because of their somewhat unconventional, proprietary speaker materials (part of the cone is made of aluminum, if memory serves). I seem to recall reading someplace that if you need those speakers replaced or re-coned, you have to return the whole cabinet to the manufacturer. I suggest you double check on that issue to make sure I'm not repeating false or out-dated information. Sorry I can't offer any first hand opinions. Here are s few (possibly somewhat outdated) thoughts from others: www.talkbass.com/threads/pros-and-cons-to-aluminum-cone-speakers.751942/ I do use a first generation Hartke "Bass Attack Tone Shaper" pre-amp/DI pedal and like that quite a bit. Allows some useful expansion of the tonal palette and it's built like a tank.

Thanks for the link! Good reading.
Specifically I was looking at a HyDrive 112 cab which was mentioned by a user in that thread.

I've liked all that Hartkes I've played through. I have a little kickback now that is the best amp in that size category I've played through. The tone is a bit non-descript, but really well balanced and easy to get into a mix.

I purchased the Hartke VX 15, it has a more traditional paper speaker, no aluminum cone. I like it and usually use it with the SWR Golight Jr 2X10.

I have the HD50. I use it with a Sansamp Bass Driver for basement recording. No complaints here in its limited capacity.

I noticed Victor Wooten does a lot of the Hartke demos at Sweetwater. 😎
