Anyone else able to watch this today? Rory is off to a great start, something he really needed to do.
Probably nobody else saw this, but John Daly was at the top of the leaderboard this morning, for the first 7 holes or so. He was hitting greens in regulation and really looking good for awhile there... birdie putts on almost every hole until he bogeyed #8. If he had putted a little better, who knows?
The grouping of Rory, Tiger and Jordan was fun to watch, but I was hoping they would be closer in scores. Rory had 4 birdies in a row, early in the round (#12-15, they started on #10).
It was difficult to watch Tiger by the end of the round, because he started out great, he birdied the first (#10) hole after a great 2nd shot. Jordan had a rough day also.

I didn't know it was on. I'm working from home tomorrow and will try to tune in.
I may get a chance to attend the Memorial next weekend. *Crosses fingers*

Daly is a home boy so I have to root for him.

I caught most of it. Jeez, what a gorgeous golf course. I would love to play it. But not from the tees these guys play from.

Tiger made the cut and Rory did his usual choke. Starting tomorrow I'll watch the leaders, -9 is leading.

I only got to watch part of it today, but looking at the day's results it appears Bubba had the round of the day at -7. Pretty good on a windy day, on a tough golf course.
Looks like two of my guys are out already, DJ and Scottie.

I just saw on the Golf Channel, that Cameron Smith hit a tee shot way to the right into another fairway, and hit Aaron Wise in the head! Aaron seems to be ok and he will be able to play today. He put a bottle of water on the "bump" for awhile after being hit. The black sharpie mark on Cameron's ball was found on Aaron's hat.
When asked about it later, Cameron had no idea he had even hit Aaron. With the large crowds, none of the cameras caught it either. Glad he is ok!

Cameron Smith hit a tee shot way to the right into another fairway, and hit Aaron Wise in the head! I think Jon Rahm hit a female ESPN reporter in the head also. She went home and is not reporting on the tourney.

That was rude. He didn't even fix his ball mark.

Thanks for the link, I didn't hear about that one!

Tiger withdrew. I have similar injuries, broke left leg in 4 places, have rods screws and plates holding it together. There is no way I could walk 18 holes and play tournament golf. I have my name on the Cup multiple times at the CC I used to belong to. After healing I never came close to winning again.
Much respect to him

He really struggled yesterday, but so did just about everyone else. Sorry he had to withdraw, but I don't blame him either. Top 4 golfers starting on the last day have zero PGA wins between them. I wonder how they will hold up today?

This could be a train wreck worth watching just to see who has the steel and who falls apart like a cheap suit.

Did Niemann just jinx one of his best friends?! He's almost talking like Pereira already has it won. With 9 more holes to play and a one stroke lead....
(Riemann doesn't realize that all I would have to do is start rooting for Pereira, and he would drop like a rock.)
I guess we shall see!

JT!
That drive onto the short par 4 in the playoff was the shot of the week!

I'm happy with the outcome, having predicted (to my wife) that JT would win, once the playoff began. Only due to his experience, which is always important in an even like this. Glad to see him win another one!
