I liked Stanley Jordan back when he took jazz standards and tapped out the melody and bass lines. Fast forward a couple years ago when he made, ahem, fashion statements wearing skirts. Eh, who am I to judge? But now… a Hendrix tribute and not a good one at that. As one commenter posted, “dude tune your guitar”.

I remember hearing his first album in about 1985. Found his technique interesting and impressive, but the musical content seemed mechanical and soul-less.

I saw Jordan at Blues Alley in DC in the late 80s and he and his band were *superb*.
That video could be a StSanders "shreds" video and I would believe it.
