They're infested??!!!
My mom always told me, "stay away from those hippie girls: they're dirty!"

Loves me some peanut butter. I have a big tub of JIF that's 3/4 empty. I'm not even bothering to check. If I've not been sick by now...

I don’t know why I don’t like peanut butter. I like peanuts. It tastes like peanuts.
I have been saying I don’t like it for so many years, I couldn’t even remember the last time I tried it. So maybe a year ago I made a PB &J sandwich.
And I still don’t like it.

We had one of the bad ones. Unopened. We got it for free with a coupon so no loss and cant return cause weve had it for awhile. Ive had problems with peanut butter before. I wonder if this has gone on for a few months undiscovered ?

One of these days I will make almond butter fudge.

Mine isn’t affected, but they should be clearer the lot numbers *begin* with the listed sequence.

The grandkids like the Jif, since I bought at costco it is easily returned, done today. Personally I think it has too much sugar. I like the peanut butters that are just peanuts and salt. They are a pain though.

Mebbe you're a cashew butter kinda guy... The trouble with almond and cashew butter IMO is the price. I have a jar of almond butter waiting to be opened. At current prices, I will go through 2 more PB jars before the almond returns. The grandkids like the Jif, since I bought at costco it is easily returned, done today. Personally I think it has too much sugar. I like the peanut butters that are just peanuts and salt. They are a pain though. Have you considered making your own? I did that once with some cocoa almonds we had hanging around that no one seemed to eat or have plans to eat. I just put them in a food processor for 2 or so minutes.

When I was a kid my grandmother had a machine that made peanut butter out of dry roasted peanuts. It was heavenly. But a pain in the you know where to clean.
The brand I like best is called "real". Ingredient list is peanuts and sea salt.

I'm a Skippy man myself -- hmmm, that didn't sound right. But my wife usually buys Jif. I checked and we're not affected, which is good because I've eaten half the jar.
Thanks for the heads up.

I suspect the lack of clarity finding the correct lot numbers for the affected batches has resulted in a buttload of peanut butter being tossed. The shelves were empty of Jif at my local HEB.

I’m making PBJ on toast with Skippy. Checked online and my jar is safe. There is a “limited” recall on Skippy. www.peanutbutter.com/recall

Now Skippy also!? Are they trying to wipe out the world's peanut butter supply!? Those may be the only two brands I've ever purchased....
