I never go anywhere so this video is purely theoretical to me, but some of y'all "seasoned travelers" might find it useful. It's a a way to "hack" your hotel room A/C, so that you can change the temperature even though you're locked out of the controls by the hotel management. wanderwisdom.com/news/hotel-air-conditioning-hack

I’ve never had an issue, but that’s handy to know. Thanks!

I don’t think I have ever been in a hotel room where I didn’t control my own temperature.

I hotels where I stay always have temperature control. Maybe some of us stay in youth hostal or cheep motels where the change the sheets once a week. LOL

In fairness, we (and by we I mean my wife and daughter) got a little fancy in our hotel room requirements after buying into the Disney Vacation Club in 2005. Since then, we haven’t stayed in a hotel room that wasn’t at least double what I would be looking to pay if I were paying cash. Some were significantly more.
I could sleep out in the yard if I wanted.

ANYONE ELSE get annoyed by the 'motion-activated' A/C sensors- so if you're asleep, the unit doesn't power back on unless there's motion in the room. (power saving if you've left the room).
The only advantage of having to get up to pee 14 times a night.
