Testing the Poll Feature

I want to test if I can create a thread with a poll and lock it for comments, but leave the poll open. 

I am going to set up that situation in a separate thread entitled "Test Poll". Can someone who is not a Moderator either place a vote in it, or if unable to, reply here so I can find out the answer?
