Usually the profundity of the spoken word in slumber dissipates to nonsense once fully awake. This morning I awoke with words echoing in my head, perhaps in an urgent James Cagney way, "It's chaos on a molecular level!". (I've since added "see?" to the end of the statement). I don't know if my brain is reciting this from something I heard over time or taking creative liberties while I'm out.
But it's a good line and I plan on using it, see?

"Chaos on a Molecular Level!" ¡*wOOt!*
That's a band my playing would fit right into!

Dreams are, indeed, weird.
Many people don't remember what they dreamed when they wake up. I usually do. In fact, I've had dreams that are sequels of dreams had weeks, or even years, previously. The sequels generally make no more sense than the original dream.
I can remember dreams I had when I was 5 or 6 years old: what a waste of storage!

I frequently remember my dreams, and sometimes use the "plots" for stuff I write. I read somewhere that the closer you come to waking, while in a dream, the more likely you are to remember it. Not great for a good night's sleep, but a wonderful source of ideas!

Happened to me too. The line was "diametric opposition in the mind".

Rather than clever dialog, I tend to come up with solutions to mechanical or woodworking issues. When I have the dream-time "eureka!" moment, I'll say to myself, "now, why didn't I think to do it that way before?"
Of course, the products of my dreaming inventive genius never stand up to waking scrutiny the following morning...

Of course, the products of my dreaming inventive genius never stand up to waking scrutiny the following morning... i have actually dreamed solutions to problems i've been pondering. i guess when i go to sleep it frees up RAM for thinking? dunno...
i dream a LOT... i wake up tired from them sometimes. i fly a lot... well, really, just float around. sit in the tops of trees or utility poles and watch things happen.
i have a lot of recurring dreams. i wake up humming tunes... some i know, some i don't.
i would probably be a good subject for psychiatric analysis

I can often remember my dreams, but they must be silent movies.
