oh dear... i knew about the airtags but had not thought about how to use them this way. i'd be terrible at being a criminal...

They supposedly added something to AirTags to notify you if your phone sees one nearby that isn’t yours.

This combined with my thread on facial recognition serve to demonstrate some of the "down-side" to great technology.
Does not always make life easier and more carefree.

They supposedly added something to AirTags to notify you if your phone sees one nearby that isn’t yours. The videoz, if you can believe them demonstrate that application is somewhat unreliable for iPhones and nearly useless for android.

This technology has been out there and Govt has been using it. Run of the mill criminals are the least of our problems.
