after all the years of mowing/bush hogging on the farm, i have suddenly developed what appears to be a grass? allergy? i usually bush hog an area a couple of times, as short as i can get it and let it dry for a few days, then i'll run over it with my zero turn to smooth it out. there's usually a lot of dust and clippings that blow around and i'm sweaty so it coats me pretty thick.
the last 2 times i've done this, i have a rash on my shins. it doesn't really itch all that much but it looks scary. it's odd how allergies develop. i did that with penicillin products. i had strep and tonsilitis so many times in my life... each time they'd give me a 'cillin antibiotic of some kind and the last time my reaction was so violent the Dr told me i'd better even watch about moldy cheese or breads... it was rough. my throat swelled so tightly i couldn't get water down! i was throwing up ... thought i was dying, probably was if wifey hadn't gotten me to the ER. i don't know what they did but i survived. strangely, i haven't had strep since... i can't imagine sitting out in the sun on a mower/tractor in long pants!!! i'm going to have to figure something out.
