Meh🤷♂️
For supposedly the final season it left me wanting. Then I read the plan is to wrap it up with a movie.
I wonder how much of my "meh" was shaped by the fact that actress Helen McCrory (aunt Polly) died. I was surprised to find out she was married to Damien Lewis, who's departure from "Billions" was probably due to her illness.

I was underwhelmed by season 6 also. Not having Polly in the mix left a void though they did try to fill it by bolstering Ada’s role. I hope the movie comes soon (see Deadwood The Movie) and gives the Shelby’s the reckoning they deserve. I also had missed the fact that the actors that played Micheal Gray and Joe Shelby are brothers.

For me this series jumped the shark after season 2. I thought the debut season was excellent but then, meh. I found better things to watch elsewhere.
FWIW I thought Helen McCrory was fantastic in her role.

I enjoyed it, but I will admit I feel it started losing something from about season 3 onwards. By that time I had become invested enough in the main characters to keep me interested. I look forward to the movie, but I don't think I'll miss the show now it's over.

I watched a couple of seasons and then bailed.
My complaints?
•excessively-manipulative use of gratuitous sex and violence on a regular basis. I don't mind either if there is a point to it, but thought that in this series it was often just inserted purely for shock value.
•why, when they obviously went to such great pains in terms of sets, wardrobe, etc. to create a "period" piece, did they use contemporary, often rock/heavy-metal music as a sound-track? I found that extremely distracting and annoying. If your goal is to immerse the audience in the illusion of a bygone era (longer ago than the 1970s) that doesn't help get the job done, IMHO.

The whole thing is/was stylized in a cartoon fashion, what with inexplicable sparks flying and fires burning. The music selection is not unlike Tarantino using David Bowie in Inglorious Basterds. I got to dig a lot of Nick Cave's stuff because of the theme song.

Oh well: at least I'm consistent...

I'm not a fan Tarantino either. I thought the Putting Out Fire With Gasoline in IB soundtrack was goofy. The beginning was brilliant IMO, but went downhill from there.
I went along with the Peaky Blinders production for what it is, maybe because I'm a sucker for a lot of the Brit stuff. But as stated, think it got lamer as the series evolved.
