Got my city residential water report yesterday. Very detailed, several pages long, citing every bacteria, organic and inorganic compound known to man. No citation for lead, however. "We don't know if lead comes out of your taps because we didn't install your plumbing."
Okay, can I get my water tested for lead? "Of course, just go to the EPA site."
So I do.
"You can get your water tested by Cal-Works. Go to this site (xxxxx)
I go to the Cal-Works site. "You can get your water tested by your municipality."
So, back to the city: "Contact the EPA."
I feel like I'm with Alice at the Mad Hatter's tea party. Maybe I have to wait for the White Rabbit to show up. (Or Gracie Slick)

Just hit the lead and don’t worry about it.

Quit whinin': you'd have to partake of all 4 food groups to get your MDRs of all that good stuff!

I just got a letter from the township saying I need to replace the pipe leading to the curb because of lead....on my dime of course.

"Got my city residential water report yesterday. Very detailed, several pages long, citing every bacteria, organic and inorganic compound known to man." Don't forget to add in the extra bacteria in that first blast from the shower head...
That settles it: was kinda on the fence, but I won't be dating you any time soon.

Reading over my original post, I should have said that the report declared the water was FREE of all the bad stuff ... not that it was rampant.

I suspect it was ND and maybe the report just covers non-detect analytes with a statement. Lead concentration is part of the primary drinking water standards and can’t be dodged by your pubic water supplier. Watch out Superman.
