If a wall wart 9V adapter has the wrong polarity for your pedals can you plug it in backwards to the wall to correct this? thks

No, you can cut the wires on the output and reverse them there or get correct one.

If ever you have one that's the wrong polarity, PUT A BIG WARNING LABEL ON IT. You can permanently destroy pedals by using the wrong polarity.

Yea, mark said adapter - and get a polarity reverser, but still mark it.
One of my pedals has a BLACK 1/4" 18v power adapter. It's from the stone age, and while I toured with the thing, I lived in fear of plugging it into the Space Echo or the Bassman or something important, even with blue tale all on the cable and plug.
