People forget that the earliest ones were powered by an inline ("Blue Flame") six fed by 3 Carter YH, side-draft carburetors, not a V8:

…and, they had Chevrolet’s automatic transmission, the Powerglide. I almost owned one back in ‘65 when a friend wanted to trade a pennant blue ‘54 for my Honduras maroon ‘62 340 hp Vette. The V8 showed up in ‘55 during the production year in (probably) unsold ‘54 cars.

Did you guys know that there was a Corvette "Nomad" concept car in 1954?

Saw it in the video. What a wonderful look these vehicles had to them. The fastback Corvair is my favourite. A stunning looking car in my opinion. I'm a sucker for a coupe. 2doors good, 4 doors boring, and a hatch or fastback is definitely my kinda thing.

This Corvair was built by Long-time Corvette enthusiast Mike Terry. I believe it was sold and repainted and now looks like this.

Inspiration for the Beatles song, "Nomad Man"?

Paul Stanley auctioned his 2022 Corvette today in Vegas.
I believe it went for about $180,000.00
