Awesome!!! I keep hoping to see some in our partially wooded back yard, but I probably don't spend enough time watching for them. The wife has seen some coming out of the woods and crossing the road, twice recently.

Nice, I enjoy the critters that inhabit my property and the general local habitat. The young deer crack me up, it’s like they have springs in their legs and haven’t learned to control them yet. A few years back I came out one morning and 30 or so turkey were in the front yard. A bobcat lives in the north west part of the property. My semi domestic cat lives mostly outside, and he has mad skills for avoiding predators. I’ve got a pair of great horned owls and red shoulders hawks that have been here at least as long as I have.

Nice. We haven't seen any fawns yet. All the mamas go higher up the mountain to give birth.
Saw a couple of young bucks yesterday, small racks in velvet. First deer I've seen in a month, not counting those that live in town.

Nice pics! The deer seem increasingly populous around here.
A few days ago was on the porch when heard a lot of running back and forth in our back woods and saw a small brown object running around at top speed. Was initially concerned could be a coyote but it was a spring fawn playing. Mother came and stood silently in a shaded spot for 30 minutes or so keeping watch.
Then two days ago was swimming at a park with a small island near-shore. Two young deer and a doe were on the island and I had the sun to my back so had fun slowly sneaking up on them from the water.
Then yesterday going to work at 0600 came upon a large 8-point buck with summer velvets. Typically the does run out of the road but he just casually walked across at a very slow pace not at all concerned with my oncoming truck..
like I said.. lots of deer.

Little “Whitey” is the bold one of the pair. He/she runs back and forth in the yard. Momma has her work cut out for her with that one.
