I haven't sold my U89 but I did find a guy who wants to trade some high-end gear for it. He has an API 500 Series Lunchbox that is loaded with 2 Purple Audio, Biz mic preamps, a Great River 1073 clone mic pre, and 2 Daking FET compressors. That's all very nice gear. We agreed that it is worth a bit more than I am asking for my U89 so I agreed to give him $200 to even out the trade and he accepted. He is in Alabama and I am in Tennessee. We agreed to meet halfway at a McDonalds to do the trade. I'm going to bring along my little 12 channel Mackie mixer, some cables, and headphones so we can both test out everything before the trade is done. He is supposed to call me back today to set up a meet time. Hopefully he won't change his mind and bask out of the deal. Fingers crossed. That's a good trade for everyone involved.

That's a lot of gear for one mic! I guess I'll never be getting myself a U89, lol.
Hope it all works out for you.

Now it's time to make cables again. That's the only thing I dislike about getting new gear.

I got the Lunchbox with the new gear mounted on the rack today. I ordered another patch bay because I am out of room in my current one. As soon as it comes in I will start making the necessary cables. i.postimg.cc/gk7fSLRw/Rack-With-Lunchbox.jpg

I got the new patch bay bank in on Friday. I started making and modifying interconnect snakes last Sunday. Spent about 6 hours hunched over my desk. It took until yesterday for the kink in my neck to go away but I have all the cables made for the connections in the top half of the rack. The bottom half is going to be a bugger. That's where the highest count of connections is. About 32 in all. That's 64 TRS balanced jacks to be soldered. That's almost 200 solder points. the good thing is that I have gotten REALLY good at soldering and making cables. Makes my neck and back sore just thinking about it.

Good luck getting through the tech tangle, I can't begin to imagine setting that stuff up. I'm pretty sure my attempts would evoke images of Curly Howard doing plumbing.
