Just a few days ago I adamantly stated here that simplicity was best, noting how wonderful a telecaster was with only two knobs and a switch ("...two turntables and a microphone...; remember that song?). So, an ad for this beauty just landed in my inbox, and now I find myself weaseling in and around my mind figuring out how to buy it without shattering all my ideals and promises, as well as getting my wife's approval. (I do recognize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder): eastwoodguitars.com/products/airline-h78?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=campaign&_kx=RWbfIMSbeeAaJjQ1mRGMQIrueKP7mc3TB7o4a_3T-eg%3D.MTbQ9EI was just telling my wife (again) that I have to start selling a bunch of guitars.... I find it very appealing. Anyway, three pickups and a slew of knobs and switches -- it goes against everything I believe in! Yet, its Siren song beckons! Well, this is just an FYI. I'll wrestle with this dilemma for a few days and will probably, eventually, resist.... But I haven't been this excited about a guitar for, well, six or seven weeks, when succumbed to that Starfire III purchase.

Nice! Looks straight out of the 60's when Montgomery Wards Sold Airline guitars (Many made by Harmony). I had the Airline Rocket in 1967.

If I remember right ... none of those guitars played right.
nuts were not cut right, strings kept popping out bridge saddle cuts depth same as the nut intonation was bad ... neck and the truss rod poor quality causing the guitar to go in and out of tune. Pups were subpar knock offs of the originals
There was a reason whay those guitars wound up in the back of the spare bedroom closest or up in the garage attic.

I had an Eastwood AC a year or so ago. It was ok… but much better after a fret level. That led me to the realization that I would have to really REALLY want another Eastwood to take the plunge.

What caused me to get rid of mine back in 1969
