I’ve been putting off a build for my neighbor, he’s been trying to get me to build it for a close friend of his.
He want’s me to build a cigar box guitar like I built for Albert Castiglia. I’m in the mood for building this project.
All the questions I had concerned sources. Took maybe 45 minutes to get all the hardware and electronics I needed, and a decent neck based on customer opinions. All I need now is a sturdy/durable cigar box. I have a dozen or so up in the the eves of the workshop. Many good wood cigar boxes, the trick is finding one that blends in proportionally. I stuck with actual telecast parts since I have router jigs already made up. I use Plexiglas, it makes lining stuff up easil, being able to see the patten/jig and project surface.
