My chain is guitar to a old Vox V846 wha from 1969 to 1981 TS9 tube screamer to korg tunner to amp. When i use my pedal board. For power my one spot sounds ok but i prefer my Boss wal wart which for some reason sounds like the batteries are weak in my peadals. The one spot buzzes sometimes so i prefer the boss wal wart. i was told in another thread here that my Boss wal wart was powerul enough for the three pedals but why does my sound sound weaker than with the one spot. My Boss wal wart is a PSA 120T 200ma and it makes my rig quiet but weaker than the one spot. Why would this be? thks

The BOSS plug pack is delivering 9vDC at 200mA of current. The One Spot, IIRC, delivers 9vDC at 1700mA of current. These are advertised specs (the labels of the units). In practice, these current ratings can be lower, which means your BOSS unit may not be delivering sufficient current to allow your pedals to operate within their engineered specs. Take a look at each pedal; it should have a label that shows the voltage and current it requires. The label looks something like this: Add up the mA required for all your pedals. If the total mA is more than the BOSS unit supplies, that's why you're getting substandard performance/operation from the pedals.

The Vox is going to likely be a tone-sucking monster that prefers batteries and/or isolated power.
I had one back in the stone age.
It wasn't designed to run off AC, and to run off garbage 1960s batteries to boot.
It's likely sensitive to all sorts of things with 50 years of circuit drift.
Any power supply made will have enough to power those units you're using - the mA use is miniscule.
Your cheapest option is to see what happens with the Vox on batteries - does everything else sound different with different power supplies, etc.
You're chasing tiny phantoms pretty consistently, which is why I suggest the simplest course.
