I finished up the rewiring of my recording rack today. I calculated the number of solder points I had to make on this journey. I had 56 device jacks to connect to, times 2 because the other end had to connect to the patch bays, times 3 solder points for every audio plug and jack. Then I made custom length MIDI cables at 10 soldering points for each cable. After that I used up what TRS jacks I had left making patch cables for the patch bays. I figured that I made about 500 solder points in all.....AND, every single one of them works. I did a test on every connection today through the patch bay and all of them worked and did what it was supposed to, the first time. I didn't have to redo anything. THAT is why I spend so much time in the planning stages before I ever start cutting cable. I may be slow but I'm thorough. After all, I don't make my living at setting up and building out racks full of gear.....anymore. How about some itty bitty MIDI cables.... They're so cute. i.postimg.cc/65N4y7V8/Itty-Bitty-MIDI-Cables.jpgI added another MIDI I/O port to the front of the rack as well so I can plug in more than one controller at a time without having to get behind the rack. i.postimg.cc/L57VdmYc/Front-Panel-MIDI-Port-Addition.jpgI'm sure glad that's over.

gee I spent the day pressure washing my side walks.
Wonder who had more fun.
I KNOW who'll have more fun as a result of our labors.

I've been string trimming 3-1/2 acres of yard this afternoon. I've been out there 2 hours and I'm only about 1/3 done. I stopped to cool off for awhile. I'd rather be washing your sidewalks.
