I found one that's practically new for $650 with a hardshell case. Sweetwater sells them for $899. I watched a YouTube video of a guy playing one using a microphone I am very familiar with. A Royer R121 ribbon. I have one of those in my arsenal. It sounded pretty good for a lower level 12 string. I told him I'd have to think about it. I don't have a 12 string acoustic and really should but I don't know if I want to spend that much money on it for no more than I would use it.
Any opinions?

A coworker had one on the bench recently, and liked it enough to call a friend who was shopping for a 12-string and recommended it.
I haven't played it myself, but I'm sure I'd agree.

I’m one of those people who feels an acoustic 12 is an essential part of the arsenal. After trying a few over the years, I settled on a Rainsong WS-3000. Go for it!

I’ve had a 12 string or two at all times during the past 40 years.
I’m using a Breedlove concert sized 12 string at the moment. Mostly live, using the onboard electrics.
As a Taylor player I would recommend the purchase. The mic thing is a bonus.
We are a bunch of enablers.😀

I made a purchase agreement with the seller. Now I'm waiting for them to give me a time and place where we can meet to do the transaction. I'll post pictures when I bring it home.

The same Christmas I got the Framus Atlantik Bass, my brother got a Framus 12 string, 57 years ago. He still plays it frequently, when ever I visit him he always has a new set of strings for me to install.

Love my Taylor 355. Best playing 12 string that I've ever played. Being a jumbo body, it probably a different animal than the 150. But IMHO you can't go wrong with a Taylor.

Yeah I got it. Great guitar after I had the neck re-shimmed and set up. Plays like butter and is loud like a cannon. Best $600 I ever spent. It's practically new. Still had the plastic on the pickguard.
