For quick preparation of grain fills, power sanding and base coat, anyone tried using epoxy to do this job ? Once the compound is cured and dried, regular acrylic can be used as color and top coat ?

Doesn't sound like fun to me. Tough sanding compared to usual grain filling stuff.

There is a lutheir on Youtube, I think the channel is called Highline Guitars, and he does a video about using bartop epoxy as a finish.
