My musical adventures have long now been fairly limited to home recording. In this environment I've almost exclusively used an Avid Eleven Rack, which if it can be faulted for anything it is because it offers almost too many credible options.
But there sits my Princeton Reverb II, my "unruly" Pro Jr. and a VHT Special 6 head/Egnater 1x12 cab. Worst of all, my pedalboard loaded with all the goodies I could ever need.
So I've been focusing on the VHT/Egnater cab. I just swapped out the Celestion G12H30 Anniversary with a Celestion Blue and yowsers, does it sound good. I should've done this a long time ago. Also looking forward to replacing the Blue that I harvested from the PRII with an Eminence GB128.
When a new amp is not in the cards then re-inventing the ones you have isn't too bad an option.

I have been considering swapping out the Greenback in my AC15 for a Blue. The Greenback sounds good but I think the Blue might give me more of that thing Vox is famous for.
I know what you mean about the Eleven Rack. It's what I use most of the time as well. I like it so much I bought a second one to use with my amps as an effects device. Also got a Behringer foot controller to run it with. Now if I can just get some time when the wife isn't home to get familiar with that combination and tweak some programs to work well with the amp. I have about $400 in the extra Eleven Rack and the foot controller. That's a LOT of horsepower for pretty cheap.

The Blue is an outstanding speaker that worked really well in my PRII despite the 15 watt rating in a 20 watt amp. It is a loud speaker with a deep and articulate bass. The moment I posted this thread my Eminence GB128 arrived and I already installed it. So far I'm really liking what it offers the combo. A more sublime low end but not weak. The amp sounds more Fendery to my ears, which is a good thing. Now if I could only get my wife off of her Zoom call so I can open this thing up a bit.

Those PRIIs are wonderful!! It has served me well over the years. Not my first choice of amps but couldn't pass it up when the harmonica player in my band offered it to me for $200. It needed a good work over and I trashed the original speaker through a disassembly mishap. Its housed a Weber 12F150 (which I seriously disliked), a Red White and Blues and the Celestion Blue. I also replaced the wee little side mount reverb tank with a full length one which sounds glorious. Honestly if I could fault this amp for anything its because it was often too loud for a lot of venues. Its odd because I did have a DRRI which seemed to open up and growl a bit more despite being a couple watts bigger. A great clean platform though, and takes pedals really well.

I had one of those and a Concert II. Both were great. Just great. Both had excellent cleans and a perfect overdrive. I sadly sold both but have nothing but good memories of each.
