I'm writing a handbook for worship leaders - when I'm done I'll announce it. I'm currently on a section dealing with "slash chords" - inversions (1st and 2nd) and other types (2nd, 4th and b7th in the bass). I'm providing a chart of common chords with C, D, E, F, G, and A as the root triads, and they're all major. As I'm looking through my song chord charts it dawned on me that there aren't too many instances of minor slash chords. Oh there's the occasional descending bass line (Am7 Am7/G Am7/F) but that seems to be the exception. Do you think that this is the norm - that most slash chords are built upon major chords? It would save me time to not build a chart of the minor chords if there's little practical application.
By the way, I found a great free site for teaching music basics (and more):
I use OBS Studio to create short demonstration videos using musicca.

I haven't had to read music in decades so I don't know what the common trends are for lead sheet notation these days. All I know is that I have seen plenty minor slash chords in the past. Whenever I write out a chord chart for something I'm working on I always use them when needed. I mean, why not?! If the chord progression requires a particular bass note to get the appropriate chord voicing you can't have everyone playing different ones or it just doesn't work the way the composer intended or it gets very cluttered in the bottom end and doesn't sound good.

Thanks. I'll have to dig deeper into my repertoire. The handbook is meant for worship leaders who lead congregational singing in hymns and contemporary Christian music - mostly uncomplicated stuff. Most of the songs are written in major keys. I was looking at the chord chart for "You Alone" - a really nicely arranged song by Don Harris and there's one instance of a F#m7/E out of 8 slash chords. I made an intro with pedal tones |A |D/A|E/A|D/A|. Pedal tones and passing chords will be the next topics since slash chords are used in those applications.
