2 weeks ago I ordered a G&L L-100 tribute bass from Sweetwater. It arrived and the only thing that needed attention was intonation and final tuning. It sounds great and feels good too. Every note rings out. It is a little better than my Fender Player series P and a very close second to my Fender American Professional. They stated the nut width was 1.75" but this has a 1.625" width. Like the other G&L's it has excellent sustain No fret issues, fret sprout etc. Body color is Emerald blue imgur.com/a/ul5VWIq

I concur. Mine is a really nice instrument. Heavy, but well made. Strung it with flats and it sounds classic. Enjoy it LTB!

I like it, looks like Sherwood Green. My only bass is a MiM Jazz that I've modded so much just the neck and a few hardware pieces remain. I've been tempted to get a P bass or something similar. Hmmm.

Many G&Ls have a little heft.

Many G&Ls have a little heft. Yes, the SB-2 is 9lbs 14 oz. and the LB-100 is 9lbs 4 oz.
I mostly play sitting down but if I know I will be playing standing up I will put on my Exo Skeleton. Seriously the LB-100 doesn't seem any heavier than my Fender American Pro Jazz or my Fender Player series P

I am curious: how are the high-mids on this?
The videos seem to suggest that they have a bit more than the typical P. I like the idea of getting one like the OP's and putting flats on it.

It's really nice when you find an instrument that "clicks" for you personally.
Happy for you!

It's really nice when you find an instrument that "clicks" for you personally. Happy for you! Yes but what isn’t nice of all the ones you sometimes have to go to many times looking in vain.

You never know when the one will ambush you. I was on my way to a Sheep and Wool festival, by invitation of the local sheep and wool association, to demonstrate spinning, I swung by a Guitar Center for a set of strings for my acoustic guitar. I pulled one of the higher end Fenders off the wall. The manager of this GC, a violin maker, and acquaintance of mine, came over, he told me the best bass in the shop was this Squire Bronco @ $150.00. I was skeptical but gave it a try. It was freaky. He was right. It played great, had a great tone, unplugged it resonated really well. I bought it. I upgraded the pick up to a Guild Bisonic bass pickup. It’s one of my favorite basses. I made a router jig for the Bisonic pickup, the installation is clean, looks stock.
The bisonic bronco, is a blast. I’ve been judged a bit harshly playing this bass. We where taking a break, I was sitting at the bar drinking ice water. These two younger guys walked in, sat down next to me, started talking smack about the Bronco. Figured they were in a band, they were questioning the quality of the group and my skill, based on the Bronco. One of these guys said “I don’t know, his rig is top of the line stuff” Al nodded at me, time for the next set. I got the bar tender to get these two guys another drink, asked the two guys to hang out for a bit.
They couldn’t quite understand why the bass sounded so good. I told them it was a freak to begin with, and was pointed out to me by a buddy who worked at the Gainesville Guitar Center. I educated them on the Bi-sonic pickup.
When I attended Victor Wooten’s Bass and Nature Camp ,2018, I brought two basses with me, the Bisonic Bronco and the Guild Starfire, which has become #1. I don’t use the old 1981 Precision Special much any more, I keep it around for studio work, these studio guys seem to prefer the Precision.
