Last year I ordered 2 sugar pine Tele bodies - one lefty and one righty - with an arts and crafts project in mind. When our oldest granddaughter was here (she was 5 - almost 6 at the time) I sat us both at our paper-covered dining room table with the bodies and a bunch of acrylic paints. She painted the lefty body for me, and I painted the righty for her. After completion of that step I applied stain to the sides and back, sprayed plenty-o-sparkly clear pearl and finished with clear gloss. Over the course of the next year I finished the guitars - in time for her 7th birthday in Aug. It was cute because she had completely forgotten that we'd done this.
The next grand is three - so we have a couple years before her turn.

I LIKE 'em!
The one on the left looks like a Rocky, and the one in the right looks like an Henri Matisse.

Those are very cool. 😄 My granddaughter drew this when she was 3 or 4 and I thought it'd be a cool album cover or avatar, but found it too....disturbing. 😧

Funny thing about the Rocky guitar. I had no idea what it was or what it looked like when I painted hers. I only saw an image of one for the first time this year.

Those rock! Great idea. She’s a lucky little girl. Auf. That IS disturbing, dude. But it would make for an artsy album cover. Or a t shirt.
