Queenie and the girls at her work were having dinner before the beginning of the show here in Vegas on Friday. The concert was canceled about an hour before it should start. They thought they might go on Monday ... tonight. Nope. Mr. Tyler is still under the weather. No Aerosmith. people.com/music/aerosmith-cancels-second-las-vegas-residency-show-after-steven-tyler-falls-ill/Get well quickly. I've seen Aerosmith three times. Once in the 70s, once in the 80s and once again in the 90s

He's in his mid-70's. These things happen.

I saw them at Jones Beach circa 1994, great live band.

At least in your case they were already in Las Vegas. Imagine those who made special travel plans just to see this show.

They do put on a great show. To put their career into perspective, consider this: David Lee Roth cites Tyler as having a big influence on his stage presence.
Think about that for a moment.
Aerosmith was a band before Van Halen existed...and they're still touring years after Van Halen is gone.
Get well soon, Steven.
RIP Eddie.

At least in your case they were already in Las Vegas. Yes. They were in fact getting off work at the property next door. Queenie's office is on the Bellagio property which is next door to the Cosmopolitan/Aria/Park MGM complex. When I saw Aerosmith in the 70s in SLC at the Salt Palace the opening band was Rick Derringer. To this day I believe that was the loudest concert I ever attended. Would have been in 1974 or 75. I saw them in the August 1984 it was in Bakersfield CA. It was the "Back in the Saddle" tour. Aerosmith had been out of commission for a while and were revving back up to form. A little research tells me the last time was actually October 2003. It was a combo of KISS / Aerosmith. Queenie went in costume: IMG_4424[1] by Larry Madsen, on Flickr

I saw them around ‘76 during the Toys In The Attic tour. Yup, super loud, but one if the best concerts I’ve been to. Get well Steve.

When I was a senior in high school, I had the chance to see them but declined. Many of my classmates had seen them the previous year and said the band was so drunk, they could barely put on a show. I still wish I would've seen them.

I have had bad luck when it comes to seeing them live. The first time (late 70’s/ early 80’s?) they were so loaded that nothing went right for them. They were very sloppy. Tyler’s vocals were awful. Perry bungled the intro to Dream on twice before slamming his guitar on the stage and walking off during the encore. Very disappointing. Fast forward to 2009. I had tickets to see them, three shows before they were supposed to come to my location,Tyler fell off the stage and damaged his shoulder so our date was cancelled. I still have those tickets at my bar as a reminder.

There are stories of stunt guitarists playing in the wings during some of those “blotto shows.” I have no idea if there’s any truth in that.

I saw them on their Draw the Line tour and they sucked. They were stoned, couldn’t play for crap and it was just loud noise. Easily one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. I was right up next to the stage and didn’t even recognize Kings and Queens (one of my favorites) until I heard “Kings and Queens” come of Tyler’s mouth.

^^^OUCH! Despite that, this thread would be better if it were about Steven "Runs Like a Little Girl" Seagal.
