I was going to thin out my herd and chose my Fender Player Series P bass. But first I needed to remove my coveted Fender Custom Shop 62 pickup and Put the Fender 63 pickup in it. Good thing I put an Obsidian Wire control in it a year ago as the Mini terminal strip made it a breeze. I then Put a set of D’Addario EX 170 rounds on it . Well must be the perfect match of string and pickup. I had This 63’ Pickup still in its box from 3-4 years ago never used because I got the 62 CS at same time and loved it with TI Jazz flats. There are no dead spots anywhere on the neck. It is the most comfortable P I have ever played and now it sounds really nice. I am not typically a rounds guy but it makes me want to practice playing with as little finger noise as possible. It won my heart again and is going NO WHERE 🤗

I have a box of misc pickups that I've collected over the years that I would like to experiment with, but my soldering skills are way out of shape. The Obsidian control harness is exactly what I need. I hadn't seen it before.

I usually do my own soldering installs but I was hurting at the time due to back surgery and bought this. They are incredibly nice and easy to install and make changing pickups much easier. Not that expensive either. I know you will love it

I just ordered the J-Bass harness. Looking forward to the pickup experiments!
